In new project news Brendan has been cast in “Desert Run” I’ve added the poster to the gallery HERE. The summary is below.
Michael Gordon finds himself at the wrong place at the wrong time when he witnesses a horrific murder of a police officer carried out by two detectives deep in the desert. Detectives Dimitri Sokolov and Dennis Crater are intertwined with a hit-for-hire organization which they need to protect at all costs. They come up with a scheme to blame the murder on Michael. Michael is labeled as a cop killer and has the entire law enforcement searching for him. He then embarks on a desperate run for survival. Michael quickly learns that the corruption goes deeper than anyone could ever imagine. He must find a way to prove his innocence before he is silenced forever. Jardine, 45, recently wrapped filming on a small budget neo-noir 25-minute short titled “El Paso 11:55” in which he had to do “basically everything” and where factors like sunset and sunrise times were enough to set him on edge. With a hoped-for release date of September, the initial goal is to get the film shown at South by Southwest and Sundance, to grab the attention of both investors and the industry’s major players.
IFJ: Your latest feature, The Commando, is scheduled to come out soon. Can you tell us what it’s about?
AA: It stars Mickey Rourke and Micahel Jai White who plays James Baker a DEA agent. Baker returns home after a failed mission and is suffering PTSD. What he doesn’t know is that the house he is living in with his family has millions of dollars hidden all over within the walls and floors of it. Rourke plays Johnny. Johnny has just been released from prison and coming to get his money. Along with his goons, they will stop at nothing to retrieve the loot, except they don’t know they picked the wrong family to mess with. The film has a great ensemble cast as well, with supporting by Jeff Fahey, UFC legend Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, Gianni Capaldi, Cord Newman and Brendan Fehr to name a few of the other guys. I hope everyone is going to enjoy what we have accomplished with this film as my vision with this was to make it a bit different from the recent typical action flicks. One of my greatest highlights of course on this one is working with the legendary Mickey Rourke.
